OintsOints privacy policy

Last updated: 16 August 2026

OintsOints does not have accounts, does not ask you to sign in, and does not collect or transmit your loyalty balances. This page explains exactly what stays on your phone and the few things the app does reach out to the network for.

Your balances

Every program you add, every balance you enter, and the dates they were updated are stored only on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. They are never uploaded to the developer or to anyone else. There is no server holding your account, because there is no account. Deleting OintsOints removes everything it has stored.

OintsOints does not connect to your airline, hotel, or bank accounts, and never asks for a loyalty program password. Balances get into the app because you type them in or scan them yourself.

Photos and scanning

You can add a balance by taking a photo of it or choosing a screenshot from your photo library. The image is read on your iPhone using Google's ML Kit text recognition, which runs entirely on device and bundled inside the app. The picture is never uploaded, and the app keeps only the number you confirm — not the image.

The app asks for photo library and camera access only for this feature. It does not browse or index your photo library; it receives only the single image you pick. You can also share a screenshot into OintsOints from another app, which works the same way.

Network access

OintsOints makes network requests for two things, neither of which includes your balances:

Aside from these, the app works with the network turned off.

Analytics and tracking

OintsOints contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash reporting SDK, and no third-party advertising or attribution frameworks. Nothing about how you use the app is measured or reported.

Exporting your data

The Settings screen can export your programs and balances to a CSV file. That file is created on your phone and handed to the iOS share sheet, where you choose what happens to it. The developer never receives it. Once you send it somewhere, it is governed by whatever service you sent it to.

The contact form on this website

The support page has a contact form. If you use it, the email address and message you type are sent to Formspree, the service that handles the form, and forwarded to the developer by email. Formspree also stores submissions on its own servers, under its privacy policy. Messages are used only to answer your question. They are not sold, shared, or used for marketing.

This applies to the website only. The app itself has no connection to this form.

Children

OintsOints collects no personal data from anyone, and so collects none from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
